Began career practicing bankruptcy law at Sulmeyer, Kupetz, Baumann & Rothman in Los Angeles (1980-1982).
From 1982-1994, served as in-house counsel for
Bank of America in three practice groups (Hong Kong legal
office, regulatory, litigation). In Hong Kong, advised on U.S. laws and regulations, and managed the Bank's Asian litigation portfolio and outside counsel relationships. In the regulatory group, presented legal seminars distributed worldwide at Bank of America offices on U.S. laws and regulations. Also prepared bank regulatory applications for foreign investments, and bank acquisitions. In the litigation group, defended significant lawsuits including letter of credit disputes, lender liability, and embezzlement cases.
From 1994-1996, served as head of litigation (Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel) at First Nationwide Bank and Granite Management Corporation, then subsidiaries of Ford Motor Company, where she was responsible for managing a nationwide litigation portfolio and a team of lawyers and paralegals.
In 1996, joined Margolis & Tisman LLP. Heads the firm's San Francisco office.
Handles litigation in state and federal courts, at the trial and appellate level, involving a wide variety of business disputes, including banking and real estate matters, unfair competition and misappropriation of intellectual property, and employment cases, including class actions.
